Virtual tagging
Virtual tagging applies logical tags to every cloud resource, including ones that were never tagged in AWS, so spend can be allocated accurately. Glassity uses virtual tagging to assign resources to teams, products, environments, or cost centers without changing the live infrastructure or running a manual tagging cleanup. This solves the chronic FinOps gap where untagged or inconsistently tagged resources hide cost ownership, making showback, chargeback, and accountability possible across the whole account.
Virtual tagging fixes one of the most stubborn problems in cloud cost management: incomplete and inconsistent tags. In most accounts a meaningful share of resources are untagged or tagged ad hoc, which makes it impossible to say which team, product, or environment a cost belongs to.
