Job description

Infrastructure Management and Optimization:
Develop, maintain, and optimize our infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt. Ensure scalability, resilience, and performance of the infrastructure.

Kubernetes Management:
Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters. Ensure applications are running efficiently in Kubernetes environments. Troubleshoot and resolve any Kubernetes-related issues.

Application Deployment & Monitoring:
Collaborate with the development team to automate the deployment of Ruby on Rails applications. Ensure application performance and monitor for any issues or bottlenecks.

CI/CD & Version Control:
Manage, improve, and maintain our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes. Collaborate with the development team to ensure code quality and version control best practices using GitHub.

Cloud Operations:
Collaborate with the team to decide on the best cloud solutions and strategies. Manage and optimize cloud resources and services. Keep up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends.

Cross-Team Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, QA, and other teams to ensure smooth deployment and operations. Participate in the planning and development of new projects to ensure operability.
Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes and tools. Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and other stakeholders.

Key requirements

1. Experience of a minimum 5 years in Computer Science or Information Technology.
2. Solid hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure as code.
3. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
4. Experience deploying and managing Ruby on Rails applications.
5. Proficiency in CI/CD best practices, with hands-on experience in GitHub Actions.
6. Deep understanding of cloud technologies and platforms. Experience with major cloud providers like AWS or Azure, or GCP.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Demonstrable ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
10. Continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying updated with emerging technologies.
